Blanche Lee, 85, of Higginsville died Aug. 18, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Concordia.
She was born Oct. 14, 1932 in Silva, Missouri to the late Luther and Elsie (Bridges) Woolard.
She graduated from Puxico, Missouri, High School on May 6, 1949. She married Albert Lee on Aug. 4, 1951. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2012.
Blanche was a homemaker, as well as a caretaker for an elderly neighbor for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the ABWA of Higginsville and active worker in the office of the Foster Grandparent Program.
She also is preceded in death by brothers, Raymond and Winfred Woolard; sister, Wanda Jackson and daughter-in-law, Lisa Lee.
She is survived by sons: Sam (Lori) Lee of Independence and Phil Lee (Shelli) of Higginsville and daughter, Glenda Hawks (Montie) of Alexandria, Va.; grandchidlren: Michelle Reinshuttle (Austin), Lisa Hawks, Fallyn Lee, Alyssa Lee, Cameron Lee, Macie Lee and Kenzie Lee. Great grandchildren Reagan Reinshuttle and Baby Reinshuttle #2 due in September.
She has donated her body to medical science and her cremated remains will be entombed at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
