Betty, the daughter of the late Terry and Mary Saracini Milster, was born April 5, 1931 in St. Louis, Mo. She was a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School class of 1949, and was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Betty was a member of Monday Study Club, St. Ann's Alter Society and many Bible study groups. She worked for 13 years at First United Methodist Church nursery but her most cherished role was as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, cooking and cutting out recipes.

Betty married Raymond C. Tanner on Oct. 8, 1949. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 2010.
