Bertha Hodge, 71, of Poplar Bluff passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at The Cedargate in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She was born Nov. 5, 1946, in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Baptist faith. A homemaker, she was a member of American Legion Post 630 and AMVETS Auxiliary 29. She was a dedicated volunteer in the community. She loved to play bingo and to cook.
She is survived by her children, Melinda (Steven) Steward, Shannon (Wayne) Heacock, Bobby Trusty and Terry (Nancy) Baugus; brother-in-law, Jerry Jameson.; sister, Shirley (Gerald) Reneau; grandchildren, Glen King, Heather Harris, Rex Steward, Julian Derick, Richard Trusty, Aaron Heacock, Bobby Jr., Catherine, Nathan and Hannah Trusty, Alicia and Shawn Baugus; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, Teresa McGinty and Kim Reed; and nephews, David and Jerry Reneau,
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold W. Harris and Ethel I. Harris; brother, Harold R. Harris; sister, Ruth M. Jameson; niece, Tammy Reed; and special cousin, Jerry.
Visitation will be at noon Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bonnie Goins officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
