CORNING, Ark. — Arvilla McKinney, 80, of Corning, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at home with her family.
Mrs. McKinney was born in McDougal, Arkansas, on July 14, 1941. She was a homemaker. Her joy in life was her family, attending church, listening to her favorite gospel CDs and sharing God with everyone. She attended the Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Poplar Bluff.
She married the love of her life, Bob McKinney, on Sept. 28, 1957, in Dubuque, Iowa. They recently celebrated their 64th anniversary. Bob survives.
Other survivors include her daughter, Teresa McKinney Savat of Marion, Illinois; her son Larry McKinney and wife Tami of Corning; a brother Leroy Hopkins; grandchildren Kathryn (Alex) Clark, Samatha (Chris) Sears, Natalie (KC) Smith, Ethan McKinney; great-grandchildren Luke, Max, Griffen, Liam, Lincoln and McKinley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Franklin Hopkins and Ruby Jewell (Sprouse) Hopkins-Krantz; a son, Charles Ray McKinney; brothers Eugene, Leo, Denver and Bobby Hopkins; sister Dorothy Morgan.
Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bob Fry officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas.
