Anthony D. Griffin

Anthony D. Griffin, 32 of Poplar Bluff passed away Dec. 22, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 4, 1987 to Corey Jones and Marian Griffin in Poplar Bluff.

Anthony will always be remembered for his freestyling. There was not a day that went by that he was not freestyling. When he started there was no stopping him.

He is survived by his sons, Jehiah Hardesty and Kourage Dozier; father, Corey Jones; grandparents, Mattie and Benjamin Griffin Sr.; sisters, Lakiesha Griffin, Ieshia Griffin, Amber Koonkongzurp and Desira Koonkongzurp and brothers, Ashton Griffin and Kobe Jones; aunt, Marquita Johnson and spouse, James Johnson; uncle, Benjamin Griffin Jr. and spouse, Michelle Griffin; uncle Jerry Whitehorn and spouse, Lola Whitehorn.

Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Griffin and aunt, Latricia Griffin.

The wake will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Fowler - Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Bacon Pasture Cemetery, Butler County, Mo. The repass to follow at True Believers Church after burial.
