Alvoy Richardson, 97, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Westwood Hills Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1920 in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Berry Gideon and Eula May Davis Gideon. She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She married Dale Richardson Oct. 29, 1965 in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death.
Alvoy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and served on the Republican Committee.
She is survived by one brother, Carl Gideon of Fritch, Texas; four sisters, Lora Woolard of Success, Ark., Nora Lye of Dallas, Teas, Mary Ann Sonnamaker of Haltom City, Texas, Peggy McCormick of Alvord, Texas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. Bro Vernon Curry will officiate. Burial will be in Marble Hill Cemetery.
