Alice Gertrude Redmond, 95, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020 at Puxico Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Puxico, Missouri.
Alice was born on Jan. 4, 1925, to Rudolph and Elizabeth Emde in Kirkwood, Missouri.
Alice co-owned Deer Run Lodge near Wappapello Lake State Park. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions. She liked collecting and couponing. Alice had an appreciation for antiques and good food. She loved her family, and the memories made with them.
Alice is survived by her son, Russ Redmond and wife, Margie, of Poplar Bluff; four granddaughters, Madelyn Redmond of Poplar Bluff, Sarah Dicken of Poplar Bluff, Samantha Rayfield of Poplar Bluff and Savanna Ray of St. Louis; and six great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded by her beloved husband, George Redmond; her parents; two brothers, Carl Edme and Wilbur Edme; one sister, Ruth Trower.
Public graveside committal service will be held on Thursday, Aug, 20, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Williamsville.
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at 5 p.m. at 13 Big Rock Rd in Poplar Bluff.
