A 32-year-old woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 565, two miles east of Poplar Bluff.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Wallace G. Hastings, 33, of Cape Girardeau was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche northbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a culvert.
A passenger in the Avalanche, Ashley N. Hicks, 32, of Poplar Bluff, was taken by Air Evac to SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.
