A Wayne County woman was killed and a Williamsville man was seriously injured in a pair of accidents Sunday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The first accident occurred at 1:55 a.m. Sunday on Lakeview Drive in Farmington.

According to the MSHP, Chad P. Sweet, 29, of Williamsville was operating a 2001 Honda TRX all-terrain vehicle southbound too fast for conditions when it exited the street and struck a tree, ejecting Sweet.

Sweet suffered serious injuries and was taken by Air Evac helicopter to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. At 2:20 a.m., he was arrested in St. Francois County on suspicion of DWI. He was released for medical treatment.

The second accident occurred at 1:37 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 67, two miles south of Greenville.

According to the MSHP, Erica L. White, 29, of Glenallen was operating a 2013 Ford Explorer northbound when it struck the rear of a northbound 2012 Ford F-150 operated by Rhonda L. Eads, 56, of Clubb. The F-150 ran off the right side of the road, ejecting Eads.

The Explorer then proceeded to strike the rear of a northbound 1971 John Deere 4320 tractor operated by Joe D. Eads, 59, of Clubb.

Rhonda Eads, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Wayne County assistant coroner Seth Deck. She is the 25th fatality in Troop E this year.
