Westbound U.S. 60 in Carter and Shannon counties will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement overlay.

This section of roadway is located from Highway Y near Fremont in Carter County to Highway 99 in Birch Tree in Shannon County.

Weather permitting, work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Friday, May 1 through Friday, June 12, including weekends as necessary.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
