WAPPAPELLO — An 82-year-old man was killed Thursday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
William S. Cade, 82, of Wappapello was operating a 1997 GMC Sonoma truck southbound on Highway T in Wappapello at 12:40 p.m. Thursday when it ran off the left side of the road, struck a culvert and overturned.
Cade was transported by Butler County EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Anil Nadipelli at 2:26 p.m. Cade is the 32nd fatality in Troop E this year.
