UPDATE: Firefighters resolve cause of smoke at Poplar Bluff hotel, guests allowed to return to rooms

Poplar Bluff firefighters responded Monday afternoon to the scene of a second possible structure fire, at Super 8 Motel. Guests were briefly evacuated after smoke was seen coming from a lower level. County firefighters were also initially asked to respond, as the source was determined. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.

UPDATE: According to staff at Super 8, the cause of smoke at the property has been resolved and guests have been allowed to return to their rooms. Information on city firefighters' response to the Monday afternoon call will be updated at www.darnews.com and in the Tuesday edition of the Daily American Republic.
