Filing dates for the Twin Rivers R-X School Board April 2 election will be Dec. 5-26, board members voted during the Nov. 16 meeting.
Two seats on the ballot are those of incumbents Keith Parker and Jenny Hester. Parker is in his sixth year on the board. Hester, who was appointed to the board in Donna Sue Ashcraft Fincher’s position, is currently serving her second year for a three-year term.
A school official said neither Parker nor Hester have committed regarding if they are running again.
Those wanting to file may do so in person at the Central Office, located at the high school campus in Broseley, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday during the filing dates.

Sentell said, “During this period, potential candidates must file the required paperwork in person during the district’s regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or from 3-5 p.m. Dec. 26. The campus will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, and no filing will take place on this day.”
Filing will not occur on days the school district’s Central Office is closed due to weather or health-related closures, Sentell said. The closing date for filing is at 5 p.m. Dec. 26.
In other action, the board voted to retain DILLE POLLARD Architecture as the architect for the safe room project if a grant award is approved.
They voted to purchase workstations for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services Programs office.
The board voted to raise the student worker hourly pay from $8.60 to the minimum wage of $12.
Additional people approved as substitutes are Melissa Adams, Stacey Anderson, Betty Bradley, Felicia Gilmore, Doug Ledbetter and Peggy McGowan.
Sonya Weidenbenner, who is a school counselor, also will be employed as the cross country coach, the board decided.
The next board meeting will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 14.
