STODDARD COUNTY — Two Poplar Bluff residents were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, on Highway 153, three miles south of U.S. 60.

According to the report, Whitley R. Buchanan, 30, was operating a 2005 Ford Escape northbound when it ran off the left side of the road. Buchanan reportedly overcorrected, which caused her SUV to overturn.

Buchanan suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Buchanan’s 11-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries and was flown to Cardinal Glennon in St. Louis for treatment.
