Many counties in Southeast Missouri are currently under a tornado watch until 10 p.m.

Southern Stoddard and Southeastern Butler Counties are under a significant weather advisory until 6:30 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, strong storms were tracking at 5:45 p.m. in a line from near Dexter and Bernie to near Qulin. They were moving northeast at 60 mph.

It also reports that penny-sized hail and wind gusts of up to 50 mph could be possible with the storm.

"So far, we've been lucky," Craig Meador with the Butler County Severe Weather Response team said at 6 p.m. "No reports from Butler County."

Brian Byrd with Ripley County EMA said at 6:08 p.m. that there is minor creek flooding.

According to scanner reports, Dunklin County did see a touchdown in the southern part of the county. As of 6:20 p.m. there were no reports of damage.
