Three people sustained serious injuries in a trio of weekend accidents in Butler County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Three people sustained serious injuries in a trio of weekend accidents in Butler County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The first accident occurred at 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Highway 158, one-half mile east of Harviell.

Kristopher T. Lee, 36, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when it traveled off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.

Lee was transported by EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Lee also was arrested at 11:51 p.m. Saturday in Butler County on suspicion of felony DWI (alcohol), felony driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving involving a crash and leaving the scene of a crash. He was released.

The second accident took place at 1:15 p.m. Sunday on County Road 459, seven miles west of Poplar Bluff.

Kelly R. Davidson, 38, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 southbound when it crossed the center of the roadway and struck a northbound 2005 GMC Sierra operated by James M. McElhaney, 36, of Harviell.

Davidson was transported by ambulance to PBRMC.

The final accident occurred at 7 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway CC and County Road 677, four miles south of Elk in southeastern Butler County.

Linda A. Leone, 49, was operating a 2003 Jeep Grand Wagoneer northbound when it failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway and overturned.

Leone was taken by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
