Three Rivers offers a wide variety of college transfer and career-technical programs.
With TRC's college transfer programs, students can save thousands of dollars by taking freshman and sophomore classes close to home, then transfer seamlessly to a four-year college or university. With Three Rivers' new University Center, students can continue their education close to home with bachelor's degree completion programs offered by Central Methodist University, Hannibal-LaGrange University, and Southeast Missouri State University. The career-technical programs at TRC offer Certificates and Associate of Applied Science degrees that train students for careers in fields such as healthcare, business, computer networking, technology, agriculture, criminal justice, fire science, child care, forestry, manufacturing, and civil & construction.

A variety of financial aid opportunities exist at Three Rivers College, including federal Pell grants, scholarships, and A+ Incentive. These aid opportunities go hand-in-hand with the college's low tuition and fees to keep higher education affordable for area residents.
Three Rivers currently has approximately 3,200 students enrolled in college transfer and career technical courses. Another 5,000 people annually take advantage of the college's other services, including workforce training programs, continuing education classes, and community services, such as library services, cultural and entertainment events, athletics events, and community events hosted in college facilities.
Voted into existence on April 5, 1966, Three Rivers is a public, two-year institution with an 80-acre Poplar Bluff Campus; in-district centers in Doniphan, Piedmont, and Van Buren; and full-service locations in Kennett, Dexter, Sikeston, and Cape Girardeau.

Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and by the Missouri Department of Higher Education, Three Rivers College is a member of the North Central Association. The Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission on Education in Nursing and has full approval by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The Medical Laboratory Technology Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. The college is also a Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services accredited EMS training entity. The pre-professional teacher education courses offered are approved by the Missouri State Board of Education. Business programs are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.
At its Poplar Bluff Campus, the Lambert C. Drury Academic Resource Commons offers library services, a computing center, and tutoring and learning center. Music, drama, and art productions, as well as national touring groups, are presented at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center.
As "Home of the Raiders," Three Rivers has varsity sports, including men's basketball and baseball, women's basketball and softball, and a rodeo team. The black and gold Raiders Men's Basketball Team, coached by Gene Bess, won national championships in 1979 and 1991. Three Rivers, with the help of donations and grants, is in the process of constructing the Libla Family Sports Complex, which will replace the Bess Activity Center as the home of the college's Raiders and Lady Raiders basketball teams.
