Three people injured in Highway 53 accident

Butler County EMS and Poplar Bluff Fire Department personnel responded to a three-vehicle accident just before 1 p.m. Thursday along Highway 53 on Poplar Bluff’s south side.

According to reports, the driver of a white pickup lost control before side-swiping a Jeep and rear ending a Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The Chevy’s driver lost control of his vehicle and ended up in the Cash Saver loading dock.

Two people in the pickup and the driver of the Chevrolet were transported to a local hospital with moderate to severe injuries.
