Three Rivers College
Two seats from sub-district one will be open for six-year terms at TRC. They are currently filled by trustee Eric Schalk and current treasurer Chris Williams. There will also be a seat open in sub-district two for four years, to complete the current term.
Both Schalk and Williams have filed for re-election for sub-district one, along with Larry Kimbrow, who is not currently on the board.
Schalk and Williams were elected in 2014 to serve their six-year terms. Williams is currently the board treasurer.
Dr. Tim Hager, current chairman, filed for the sub-district two seat, which he currently holds. The seat became open in October 2018, when then Trustee Randy Grassham passed away. Hager was appointed to the seat for the remainder of the term, which is up in 2020.
The seat is open for a four-year term and will return to the normal six-year term in 2024.
Those interested in filing for one of the seats will be able to do so during normal business hours with Janine Heath, who serves as election authority. The school will be closed from noon Friday, Dec. 20, through Monday, Jan. 7, for the winter break.
