Recent years have seen a surge of tattoo businesses opening in Poplar Bluff, so one might be forgiven for being dismissive upon learning of a new location. But, the perception changes upon learning the new location offers something no one else in the entire state can offer.
Stacy Rogers recently established her business R Squared Ink in Poplar Bluff to provide para-medical tattoo services, as well as magnetic tattoo removal. Coming from a background as a medical professional for 25 years, Rogers wanted to provide a service that she recognized as being necessary, and no one else was doing it.
“Essentially what that means is, someone can come in here to not only remove tattoos, but to also have scars and wrinkles eliminated,” Rogers explained. “Wrinkles can be smoothed out and pores can be covered. As a para-medical professional, I can get rid of those.”
Rogers has another location in Paducah, Kentucky, and said she is the only person certified in the state of Missouri to offer the para-medical tattoo services.
“These techniques are better known in Europe,” Rogers noted. “I actually learned the magnetic removal process and was certified by Linda Paradis — and she is the one that invented the technique in Paris. And I trained under grand masters in Nevada to learn the (scar) camouflage techniques. At my location in Paducah, I have customers that travel from all surrounding states to get my treatments.”
Rogers explained her process of scar removal as consisting of two steps: step one is introducing a rejuvenating serum into the affected area; and step two involves coloring the area with customized ink that is matched to a person’s pigment.
“I have a device that I put to the person’s skin in the same area as the scar, and the device samples an image and can tell me to the last drop exactly how I need to mix different pigments to get an exact match to the person’s skin,” Rogers noted. “It really is something impressive.”
Similarly, the magnetic tattoo removal process is a two-step process. Step one involves introducing a special serum into the skin where it bonds with the ink; and the second step involves magnetically pulling the ink from the pores.
“I have equipment that allows me to see micro-scarring in the skin where a tattoo is located, and I’m also able to see micro blood clots,” Rogers explained. “With my process, I’m able to break up those micro clots and remove them along with the ink. That keeps the skin an even color without discolored patches.”
Rogers went on to explain that someone with hyperpygmentation can benefit from her services, as well as someone with burn scars.
“Basically, anyone with any damage to the skin will benefit from my camouflage services,” she stated. “I use a serum named ‘Nue Regen,’ which is the only FDA approved medical serum of its kind for this process.”
Rogers was quick to point out that depending on the severity of the area that needs covering, multiple sessions will be required.
“It’s not like waving a magic wand. It won’t be fixed and gone in one session,” she explained. “But, you absolutely will see a difference after just one session. Sometimes, you will see an enormous difference after just one session. And by the time we’re finished with however many sessions we need to do, you will absolutely be satisfied with the results.”
So, a guy can come in a have a tattoo of his ex’s name removed?
“Absolutely. That won’t be a problem at all,” Rogers said. “In fact, I am going to offer half-price services to the first three men who come into my office for a session. Men can benefit from this every bit as much as women.”
Rogers is licensed as a tattoo artist by the states of Missouri and Kentucky. She is also certified as a Master Paramedical Artist by NUE Conceal; and is certified in Magnetic Tattoo Removal by Paradis.
