Officers with the Dexter Police Department responded to Regions Bank Friday morning after a caller reported a robbery. Dexter Police Chief Hank Trout said the caller stated a male suspect grabbed money from a female customer’s hand and fled the bank.
Trout said the customer and her husband followed the suspect, who was on foot. Trout said a responding officer witnessed the suspect running south in the parking lot west of McDonalds.
Trout said the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Dexter Police Department,
Trout said further information including the name of the suspect will not be released at this time due to the continuing investigation and filing of formal charges.
