Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ninth annual Power of Women luncheon was canceled. This year’s recipients are being honored with a special video presentation.

The Power of Women Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a passion for a life of service, are attending Southeast full time and have completed at least 30 credit hours with a minimum 2.75 grade point average. Each recipient submitted an application demonstrating significant academic achievement, involvement at the University and commitment to volunteerism and community service. The Power of Women Scholarship Committee selected the recipients based on these factors as well as their future aspirations for success in their career and personal life.

She is a member of Southeast’s Gamma Sigma Sigma service sorority and the National Student Nurses Association. She is a nurse extern at SoutheastHEALTH in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Hubbert is the daughter of Keri Robinson of Dexter, Missouri, and the late Lonnie Belcher. She is a 2015 graduate of Dexter High School.

“I am extremely grateful for this scholarship, which will allow me to focus on my career and education,” Hubbert said. “The Power of Women Scholarship has shown me that I have support both from the campus and local community. I hope to one day give back and help those just as much as this scholarship will help me.”
