Stephanie Link is a fourth through sixth grade teacher at Poplar Bluff Middle School. She teaches art. This is her 4th year as a teacher.

Q. Why did you get into teaching?
A. I loved art and kids, I wanted to teach my knowledge and passion to others.
Q. What’s your favorite part of teaching?
A. Being able to see success from students that didn’t think they had the ability.
Q. What’s the most challenging part?
A. Redirecting students who have difficulties following the rules and not getting any help from parents and kids have little to no repercussion.
Q. What would you tell a student who is thinking about becoming a teacher?
A. Make sure you’re patient, consistent, firm but nice. Take time to get to know each and every one of your students, because this will enable you to have the best relationships and will result in better classroom participation, motivation, and higher achievement rates.
