Sky High Trampoline Park is a family affair for local Poplar Bluff resident Heather Asay, owner of the new business. Asay said she had hoped to open to the public on Sept. 1, but said they were slowed down by some unforeseen delivery issues. But the new park is now open for business.

The building that once housed the Hydro Adventure water park, located at located at 2801 Cheshire Blvd., has now become home to Sky High Indoor Park, a trampoline park complete with an arcade, sports simulation bays and a party area for private birthday parties and events.

“We tried to put in a lot of features that some of the other places like this in the area didn’t have,” said Asay. “We want to keep our community happy and give them something to do without people having to drive so far.”

The upstairs loft area of the facility is filled with plush leather recliners, for parents and those that don’t bounce as well (or just choose not to), to observe jumpers. Concessions are available below the seating area for everyone to enjoy and a full cafe-style eating area is also on-site.

“We want to make it comfortable for everyone, kids and families and give them something fun to do here instead of making that drive,” said Asay, who went on to explain it was her desire to, “keep it local and add something new for families to our area.”

Asay’s children, Colton, Calin and Calie, said they are eager to assist in the family operation. “They will be helping with the concession stand and other aspects of running the business,” said Asay.

The three siblings said they are looking forward to helping get the business off the ground.

“It’s going to be fun. We are looking forward to it,” said Calin Asay.

Sky High Indoor Park is open from 3-6 p.m. on weekdays with the exception of Tuesdays, when the business will be closed. Weekend hours will be from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
