SIKESTON — The Sikeston Little Theatre has postponed its productions due to damage the theater received from the Sunday, May 26 tornado.
“The full extent of the damage is still unknown, but our Board of Directors has met and decided that until further notice all projects at the theatre, both current and upcoming, are to be postponed,” a post on the Sikeston Little Theatre’s Facebook page said. “Unfortunately, this also includes ‘The Play That Goes Wrong,’ which was set to go to stage this next month.
“Our hearts are torn for the cast and crew of the show as they have spent several months working tirelessly to bring this show to life for you all.”
There are still a lot of unknowns when it comes to the immediate future of Sikeston Little Theatre, but rest assured, the SLT leadership is bound and determined to have them walk away from this situation stronger than ever, the post said.
The post said future updates will be made at the SLT Facebook page.
“Until then keep SLT, its volunteers, and its leadership, in your thoughts and prayers as we begin to traverse this next chapter in our organization’s storied history,” the post said. “After all, tomorrow is another day.”
