Crossroads Ministries of Poplar Bluff is hosting its second annual ‘Show Me Jesus’ conference at 6 nightly March 31 through April 3. The four day event will present a variety of faith based speakers delivering messages of inspiration to attendees. The Crossroads Band will also entertain the crowd with contemporary Christian music throughout the event. The conference will be held at the Crossroads Ministries location at 416 South C Street in Poplar Bluff and is open to everyone.
Crossroads Pastor Jimi Waggoner’s hope for this year’s conference is for “every soul who longs for it to be shown Jesus” during the event.
He said, ‘Show Me Jesus’ is the perfect venue for people who are uncomfortable attending traditional churches. Waggoner said there’s no dress code or special requirements to attend the event. His want is for conference attendees to “feel the difference” at Crossroads. “We just want people to get saved” and feel they belong, added Waggoner.
Dean and Sheree Gholson of Poplar Bluff are ministry volunteers in their second year of helping with the conference’s lighting and sound. Sheree noted their enjoyment of the event comes from hearing “great messages and music, that’s what it’s all about.”
Waggoner said, the first 300 conference attendees will receive a free ‘Show Me Jesus’ T-shirt. Every attendee will also receive a raffle ticket nightly toward a free drawing on Sunday for a one-of-a-kind leather bound Bible.
