Barring any unforeseen circumstances or changes in the state mandated “stay-at-home” orders, First Christian Church will gather for worship at 10:30 a.m., Sunday.

To ensure everyone’s safety, and in accordance with state and county health department guidelines, there will be:

• Social distancing, although family units will be allowed to sit together if they desire

• Worship service only; no Sunday school classes

• No meet and greet time

• No children’s moment

• No coffee or donuts

Communion will be offered weekly. Sealed communion cups, available in the narthex for individuals to pick up and place in the pew cup holders until communion time, will be used.

Offering trays also will be available in the narthex for congregants to drop their offering on their way in or out of the service.

Anyone who would feel more comfortable wearing a mask, may bring one and wear it.

“We will do all we possibly can to make everyone feel safe and comfortable, but be assured there will be absolutely no pressure for anyone to attend until they feel comfortable doing so,” Pastor Frank Chlastak said. “These are strange and different times, and our services won’t quite be back to ‘normal,’ but at least we will be able to again worship together as a church family knowing that God is there with us.”
