A longtime Poplar Bluff retailer will make a significant change in the New Year, while two businesses are expected to open before the end of 2017 as retail expansion continues for the city.
J.C. Penney will add cosmetic store Sephora to their South Westwood Boulevard location, according to a permit for a $180,000 renovation. The permit is currently being reviewed by the city planning department.
Beauty products would occupy about 1,500 square feet on the right hand side of the main entrance, city documents show.
The Sephora location is one of several renovations expected to be complete in 2018, along with Planet Fitness at the former Hastings location.
Rhodes 101/Imo's Pizza and Jimmy John's are expected to open by Christmas at Eight Points.
