Second special council meeting planned on city manager matters

Poplar Bluff City Council will hold a second special meeting at 1 p.m. Monday to discuss personnel matters.

The council met in special session Thursday, but did not have any open session discussion.

No votes or motions were made, according to city clerk Nevada Young.

The council is expected to select an interim city manager.

City manager Mark Massingham announced this week he will retire effective July 10.

The council has not announced any decisions regarding the process for hiring a new city manager.
