Screening registration open for future Hillview students

Young students in the Neelyville R-IV school district can sign up for kindergarten or early childhood screenings.

Kindergarten screenings, for those who turn 5-years-old before Aug. 1, will be Feb. 20. Early childhood screenings, for those 3-years-old before Feb. 21, will be the day after. Those who turn 3 after Feb. 22 but before Aug. 1 will have a screening the week of Aug. 24.

Parents should set up an appointment by calling Ms. Kellie, 573-989-3370, at the Hillview Elementary School office.

For the appointment, parents should bring their child’s birth certificate, social security card, up-to-date immunization record, Medicaid/insurance card and legal guardianship paperwork.

Screenings include areas of pre-academic skills assessment, speech/language, vision, hearing and height/weight.
