The annual ‘Run 4 The Arts’ event will see its fourth year on Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. on the Poplar Bluff campus of Three Rivers College.

The four-mile walk/run serves as a fundraiser toward the TRC endowment scholarship for fine arts — which includes music and art. Along with the four-mile course, there will be a one-mile course for participants to walk.

“Three Rivers is proud to be a supporter of fine arts education, and Run 4 The Arts helps keep our fine arts programs strong,” said Michelle Reynolds, director of development for TRC. “We can’t wait to get everyone on campus to help our fine arts students.”

While early registration is still open, there will also be same-day registration at 8 a.m. in front of the Bess Activity Center on the TRC Poplar Bluff campus. Whether people are taking the four-mile or one-mile course, there is a $20 entry fee. People can register for a virtual run as well. The entry fee covers a T-shirt, which is guaranteed for those who pre-register by Wednesday. After that, they’ll be available while supplies last.

Participants can also register at packet pick-up the day before form 3-5 p.m. in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center lobby.

Strollers are welcome in the run/walk. Trophies will be awarded to the top overall male and female, with medals awarded for various age groups.
