Taylor Rice, daughter of Samantha Porch of Fisk, Mo., was awarded the 2017 Don Hilton Memorial Scholarship.
She is a recent graduate of Twin Rivers High School and is attending Southeast Missouri State University at the regional campus in Sikeston, pursuing a degree in elementary education.
Rice was involved in Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, FCCLA and A+ Program at Twin Rivers.
The Don Hilton Scholarship is awarded in the memory of the late Don Hilton, a business teacher at Twin Rivers.
