The Poplar Bluff R-1 School District will host a special “Test Drive a School Bus” event from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Poplar Bluff Middle School, located at 1300 Victory Lane.
The event will give attendees an opportunity to experience what it’s like to sit in the driver’s seat and operate a school bus with a qualified trainer by their side.
To be eligible, you must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old.
The event is being held as a way to introduce prospective new bus drivers to the career.
Free balloons and coloring pages will be offered for children on hand, while hotdogs and drinks will be free for anyone.
