Faith Marie Oliver of Puxico, Mo. was a semifinalist in the Miss Missouri Teen USA Pageant. Sept. 22-24

Oliver is the daughter of Stephanie and Russ Oliver. She is a senior at Puxico High School and she plays volleyball and basketball.

Oliver arrived at the Miss Missouri Teen USA Pageant Friday, Sept. 22, in St. Charles, Mo.

"Friday morning I woke up and got ready for registration, everything was a blur, the weekend went by so fast," stated Oliver.

The Friday of the pageant consisted of individual opening number, swimsuit, and evening gown pictures for the web page. After the pictures, the contestants dressed for s social hour where they could officially meet each other. They were served dinner and attended a dance. The night ended with a rehearsal.

Oliver shared, As the pageant weekend continued, Saturday acted as a main rehearsal day until the early evening hours. Starting at 7 p.m. the preliminary competition started where contestants performed an opening number dance, were announced and then competed in athletic wear and evening gown. Following the prelims they hosted a welcome home party for the 2017 Miss Missouri Teen USA Queen Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff, who recently won the Miss Teen USA Pageant.

The last day of the pageant, Sunday, consisted of personal interview which was a third of the score along with evening gown and athletic wear which each also consisted of a third of the final score. After the personal interviews, contestants went back to the theater to prepare for the top 15. The final show held Sunday night repeated Saturday nights show except after the opening number, the officials announced the top 15 contestants.

"I was called down as a semifinalist from there I competed again in athletic wear and evening gown," stated Oliver.

The Queen Chloe Bartlett, of the Miss Missouri Teen USA Pageant was crowned later that night. She is from Truman, Mo.

Bartlett stated, "I cannot believe I am Miss Missouri Teen USA 2018. It still feels like I'm living in a dream! It has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to follow in my mother's footsteps as she was Miss Missouri USA in 1990. I am ecstatic to take on this leadership position and be a voice of hope to make others feel confidently beautiful in who they are and who God made them to be. I am thrilled to be able to represent such an incredible state at Miss Teen USA!"
