The schedule of events for Puxico Country Christmas Friday - Sunday, Dec. 1-3, includes:
Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. Parade of Lights. All lighted entries are welcome to participate in the parade. Starting will be at the Old John Deere lot. After the parade, meet at Veteran's Park to see Santa and get your fill of cookies and hot cocoa. There will also be a live nativity scene. This is sponsored by the First Midwest Bank.
Dec. 2:
8 a.m. Pancake Breakfast at Hands of Hope Youth Center.
9:30 a.m. Ugly Sweater Fun Run/walk (One mile) Meet in upper parking lot of high school gym for the starting point. Contestants will be judged on their "ugly sweater" rather than the time they run. Registration is $!0 for Adults, Kids (12 and under) $5. Proceeds to benefit the Berry-Glenn Historical Museum.
FREE EVENTS: Craft Fair-$25 booth entry. Proceeds to benefit Puxico FBLA,
Noon-4 p.m. North Pole Games in Veteran's Park. Provided by Puxico PTO, 3 p.m.
Candy Cane Hunt. Meet at Veteran's Park Pavilion to get your clues. Walk and search around town to find your candy canes and race back to be the winner! Organized by the Puxico PTO,
Cookie Decorating at Mel's Diner-restaurant open Saturday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 11:30 a.m. -7 p.m.,
Tiny Soul Studio-Stop in Tiny Soul and take a look around. Enjoy a cup of hot apple cider, cookies and register for a gift basket that includes a $150 voucher.
JKM & Company will also be open if you would like to stop in for a little shopping.
Singing and Music will be performed on the Stage in Veteran's Park throughout the day.
6 p.m. Movie in the Park. At Veteran's Park featuring the movie "Elf", free popcorn and hot chocolate will be provided. Don't forget to bundle up!

Holiday Tour of Homes Dec. 3
As part of the Puxico Country Christmas there will be a Holiday Tour of Homes from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3. Businesses will also be on the tour. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time or the day of the event. Start your tour at the Puxico Log Cabin Library to get your map. There will also be prizes, raffles and giveaways! Tickets are $5 per person. Proceeds to benefit Puxico Library.
Beautiful Business Competition
Please vote for your favorite Christmas decorated storefront in the town of Puxico! From Nov. 27 through Dec. 3 look for a "penny" jar at the local businesses. Throw your pennies or spare change in the jar for your "vote" of best decorations. Whichever business collects the most money by December 3 at 1 p.m. will win! All money collected in jars will benefit the Puxico Nutrition Center.
