The Poplar Bluff R-I School District Board of Education held a closed session meeting Sept. 15 wherein it approved six resignations and 48 employments.
The board approved the resignation of certified personnel Cynthia Gaebler, high dosage academic tutor at Poplar Bluff Middle School, effective immediately.
Members also approved the classified resignations of Paula Fleming, companion aide at the Early Childhood Center; Hannah Leon, companion aide at PBMS; Megan McDermott, bus aide in the Transportation Department; Symphony Sumner, companion aide at Eugene Field Elementary; and Cynthia Webb, library assistant at Poplar Bluff High School. All are effective at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
Certified personnel employments approved were Larry Batchelor, high dosage academic tutor at Poplar Bluff Junior High; Norma Batchelor, high dosage academic tutor at PBJH; Linda Childress, high dosage academic tutor at PBMS; Janice Desgranges, high dosage academic tutor at PBMS; Diana Frazier, PB/MSU adjunct instructor for the district; Cynthia McIver, PB/MSU adjunct instructor for the district; Jeanette Miller, PB/MSU adjunct instructor for the district; Stephanie Misner, PB/MSU adjunct instructor for the district; Nicholas Pattillo, assistant eigth grade football coach at PBJH; Zachary Randolph, head baseball coach at PBHS; Angela Rideout, PB/MSU adjunct instructor for the district; Courtney Rutledge, PB/MSU adjunct instructor for the district; and Kayla Sparks, social studies teacher at PBHS.
Classified employments were Andrea Arnold, companion aide at PBMS; Sierra Douglas, custodian at PBHS; Dennis Ellis, Maintenance II worker in the Maintenance Department; Ryan Glick, part-time Latchkey instructor at Oak Grove Elementary; Chelsey Hayes, companion aide at PBMS; Kathryn Henry, companion aide at PBMS; William Lourance, bus driver in the Transportation Department; Tammrince March, custodian at ECC; Shawnia Osborn, bus aide in the Transportation Department; Caleigh Osterman, companion aide at ECC; Nicholas Pattillo, companion aide at PBJH; Kayla Pruett, health aide at PBMS; Andrew Walker, bus driver in the Transportation Department; and Carolyn Woods, companion aide at PBHS.
The district approved the employments of 21 AmeriCorps tutors: Jarryn Anderson, Tylei Blackmon, Jacob Booker, Rachel Butler, McKenzie Cassie, Daine Dugas, Mason Gilmore, Emma Harris, Madison Hayman, Emma Hicks, Sydney Kramer, Abigail Lawrinenko, Nathan Mays, Emma Miller, Abigail Murphy, Emma Reeves, Macie Robertson, Owen Sutton, Emma Tinsley, Paiton Willis and Blake Yarbro.
All employments are effective during the current school year.
