The Poplar Bluff R-I Board of Education met at 6 p.m. Feb. 16.
The following items were approved by the board,
• Administrator retirement (effective the end of the 2022-2023 contract): Amy Jackson, assistant superintendent-finance, effective June 30.
• Certified retirements (effective the end of the 2022-2023 school year unless otherwise noted): Kimberly Bieller, COTA for district, effective Jan. 31; Jeannette Davis, intervention teacher at junior high; Gina Duckett, process coordinator and psych examiner at Central Office; Candace Hecker, teacher at middle school; and Fawn Luecke, art/music teacher at kindergarten center.
• Certified resignations (effective the end of the 2022-2023 school year unless otherwise noted): Sara LaVerne, special education teacher at high school; and Daniel McCoy, guidance counselor at high school and assistant football coach at junior high school.
• Administrator employments (effective for 2023-2024 school year unless otherwise noted): Michael Jones, assistant principal at high school; Stephanie Kuper, assistant principal at high school; and Jordan Penn, assistant athletic director for district.
• Certified employments: Shelby Cochran, teacher at Lake Road Elementary; Jamie Ivy, head JV golf coach at high school; Abby Ossola, speech language path at for district; Angela Rideout, teacher at Eugene Field Elementary; Hannah Singleton, science teacher at junior high; and Christy Young, teacher at middle school.
• Classified retirements: Terri Hendricks, secretary at high school; and Janice Smith, bus driver at transportation department.
• Classified resignations: Justin Bilskey, bus driver at transportation department; and Sommer Carpenter, bus aide at transportation department.
• Classified employments: Gayla Ogelvie, bus aide at transportation department; Lorinda Pickard, custodian (probationary to full-time) at Early Childhood Center; Faith Walters, companion aide at Oak Grove Elementary; Sabrina Weaver, secretary/registrar at high school; and Carolyn Evans, bus aide at transportation department.
• Approved contract renewals for the administrators/principals for 2023-2024.
