Poplar Bluff firefighters and emergency-medical-services personnel package Billie R. Barton, 58, of Poplar Bluff for transport to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries after he was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7 a.m. at the intersection of Pine and Main streets. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Varkay L. Rider, 51, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2019 Jeep Cherokee southbound when she pulled her SUV into oncoming traffic. Rider's SUV allegedly was struck by Barton's westbound 2000 Toyota Corolla.DAR/Michelle Friedrich
