The Poplar Bluff City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:45 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at 301 S. 5th St. to hear citizens’ input relative to the property tax rates proposed to be set by the council.

A regular meeting will follow at 7 p.m. in the council chambers.

Workshop items to include: placing a use tax proposal on the ballot for the general municipal election to be held in the city on Nov. 5; discuss a request to approve a proposed telecommunications monopole height of 130 ft. to be erected at 635 S. 6th St., applicant, Jake Sprague of Network Real Estate LLC, St. Charles, Mo.; request to approve the abstract of votes cast at the Special Municipal Election held Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Action items to include: action on an ordinance regarding the lowering of the speed limit on Barron Rd.; action on an ordinance providing for the levy and collection of property taxes for the year beginning Jan. 1, 2020 and ending Dec. 31, 2020, for the following purposes: (1) General Revenue and (2) Policemen and Firemen’s Pension Fund, to be levied and collected as to all property in the City of PB, both personal and real, except household goods located in private homes; use tax measure for the Nov. 5 election.

__Animal Control Board__

The Animal Control Advisory Board will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Police Dept. conference room.

__HVACR__

The Poplar Bluff HVACR Board will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday in the council chambers.

__Cancellations__

Meetings for the Municipal Utilities Advisory Board and the Tree Advisory Board for next week have been canceled.
