City Council

The Poplar Bluff City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the council chambers, 301 S. 5th Street.

Workshop items to include: recommendation to update the International Building Code, International Fire Code and the International Mechanical Code (HVACR); recommendation to adopt the 2018 International Residential Code; recommendation to adopt the 2018 International Existing Building Code; recommendation to adopt the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code.

Action items to include: ordinance determining a downtown location for a city hall building site; resolution making an appointment to the Airport Advisory Board; ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract with First Missouri State Bank for the acquisition of land; ordinance approving the rezoning of 1519 and 1529 Coolidge Street, owned by Andrew and Debra Clark; ordinance accepting a bid regarding the Baugh Lane Water Tower Demolition Project.

A closed meeting will follow the regular meeting.

Library Board

The Poplar Bluff Municipal Library Board of Trustees will meet at 4 p.m. Monday in the Wolpers Family Conference Room, 318 N. Main Street.

Downtown PB

Downtown Poplar Bluff, Inc. will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers.

Airport

The Poplar Bluff Municipal Airport Advisory Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the council chambers.

New business to include: election of 2019-2020 officers; change of meeting time from 7 p.m. to 5 p.m.; recommend the council amend Chapter 145 of the City Code through ordinance delegating jurisdiction for future airport construction, improvement, equipment, maintenance and operation to the Airport Advisory Board under Mo. Rev. Stat. § 305.210; discuss airport improvements; discuss airport compliance to standards; Manager Gary Pride to present hangar report and update on the daily operations.

Cancellations

Meetings for the Poplar Bluff Electrical Board and Municipal Utilities Advisory Board have been canceled for this week.
