Poplar Bluff and Butler County law enforcement officers are on the lookout for multiple stolen vehicles.

They are a maroon 2008 Toyota Highlander, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 2012 White Dodge Ram 4-door pickup and a gray 2004 Ford F150 FX4 with a 2-inch lift kit.

The vehicles were taken in separate incidents between June 1-June 4.

A Butler County man filed a stolen vehicle report with the Poplar Bluff Police Department at 1:45 p.m. Friday. He told officers on Thursday night, he was driving a maroon 2008 Toyota Highlander. He allegedly stopped in the 100 block of West Vine Street to speak with an unidentified white male pedestrian. According to the report, the pedestrian forcibly removed him from the driver’s seat and took the vehicle. The pedestrian was described as being between the ages of 35-50 with a brown beard. He was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans, according to the report. Police say they recovered and returned the vehicle to the owner but the suspect has not been identified. Police are continuing to search for the suspect.

PBPD officers were called Sunday to the 1700 block of Sanders Street. A resident reported a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which had been parked in front of the home, had been stolen.

Butler County Sheriff’s deputies reported two stolen vehicles happened earlier in the month on Tuesday, June 1, and Wednesday, June 2.

On Tuesday, June 1, the Butler County Water District 3, State Highway AA, Broseley reported a 2012 White Dodge Ram 4-door pickup belonging to the water district was stolen.

On Wednesday, June 2, deputies took a report on County Road 603 of the theft of a gray 2004 Ford F150 FX4 with a 2-inch lift kit, mounted winch on the back and running boards.
