Poplar Bluff Senior High School Students of the Month for November and December were Daryl Vaughn II, Matthew Miller, Audrey Cisne, Zach Martin, Zoe Savat, Victor Olivan, Bailey Schuerger and Krisman Eakin.
Vaughn is the son of Maria Acevedo and Daryl Vaughn. His hobbies are sports and spending time with friends and family. Vaughn's volunteer and community service activities include being a student helper to I'm a Citizen Too.
During high school, Vaughn has been involved in the baseball and basketball teams and Spanish Club
His college/technical plans are majoring in law enforcement and minor in Spanish and computer sciences.
While Vaughn's career plans are to be a federal agent, Miller's is aiming for a research career.
Miller's parents are Pamela Miller and Joseph Miller. His hobbies are playing video games, light reading, and dungeon mastering for a dungeons and dragons group.
Community service includes bell ringing for the Salvation Army, Eagle scout project in eighth grade and helping with the church play last year High school involvement: Drama club, Math club, Marching band, academic team.
Miller plans to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology and then study for doctorate in particle physics before going into a research group or company.
Cisne, who is the daughter of Matt and Julie Cisne, is planning a career in nursing after college.
Cisne's hobbies include sports and spending time with family, while community service involves coaching kid's soccer. High school activities are Mule Barn, swimming and soccer.
Sports keeps Martin busy. The son of Joe Martin and Tamra Martin, he said, his hobbies are sports and hanging out with friends and his high school activities are sports.
"After graduation I plan to attend college to pursue a degree in pre-med," Martin said. "After getting my bachelors, my hope is to attend medical school. Speciality is unknown at the moment.
Savat's parents are Bree Savat and Lanny Corcimiglia.
Savat's hobbies are basketball, volleyball, soccer, drawing and reading and his high school activities include the Mule Barn, STUCO, basketball team, soccer team and volleyball team. Savat is not sure about future plans.
Olivan's parents are Soveyda Moreno and LeRoy Woods,
His hobbies are playing sports, listening to music and hanging with friends. His high school activities are Cross country, track, STUCO, Key Club and FBLA. He plans to attend UMKC and study architecture.
Schuerger's parents are Bonnie Hunter and John Schuerger
Hobbies are listening to music, writing and playing video games. Schuerger volunteered at the Back to school fair and is involved in high school journalism.
College plans include attending UMSL and pursuing a career as a career as a clinical psychologist.
Eakin's parents are Chris Eakin, Steve and Mandy Eddy.
Eakin's hobbies are running track and hanging with friends and volunteer opportunities include working at Santa Land. High school activities are FBLA, track and field and NHS.
Eakin plans to attend Harding University and run track before becoming a physician's assistant.
