Poplar Bluff High School celebrated their prom Saturday evening at the Black River Coliseum. Students dressed according to the theme “Hollywood Glam” and participated in multiple photo shoots. Catering was provided by the restaurant Bread + Butter.
The Grand March was one of the first events of the evening and according to co-sponsor Cassie Nobles, an instructor at PBHS, the tradition started many years ago and has continued. “Technically, we don’t know when it started, but it is an annual tradition,” Nobles said.
Junior Prom Court consisted of Kurt Rosson, Preston Moore, Dylan Bratcher, Carson Todd, Kolyn McBride, Kennedy Zgaynor, Savannah Hanner, Anna Hays, Laynie Jones, and Ava Richardson. Junior Prom King and Queen were Dylan Bratcher and Kennedy Zgaynor.
Senior Prom Court consisted of Madelyn Hefner, Emma Hicks, Emma King, Abigail Murphy, Adrianne Casey, Wiliam Hirtz, Dawson Vaughn, Bralin Duckett, Christopher Simpson and Darius Sagharichi. Senior Prom King and Queen were Christopher Simpson and Adrianne Casey.
