Poplar Bluff High School recently named two students from each grade as January Students of the Month.

Audrie Sievers

(Freshman)

Parents: Darrell and Jennifer Sievers

Hobbies: archery, fishing, shooting guns spending time with my family

Community service: I was involved with my church building bunk beds for children who didn’t have beds at all. Sleep in heavenly peace.

high school involvement: FFA member, math club, beta club, archery club

College plans and Career plans: I am striving to get my AA by the time I graduate high school. I plan on applying to the United States Air Force Academy. I want to later go on and be a pilot in the Air Force.

Blane Ray

(Freshman)

Parents’ Names: Steve and Kati Ray

Hobbies: Scouts BSA; Taekwondo; Church

Community Service (Volunteer): Projects through Scouts BSA; Beta

High School Involvement: Sho-me band; Beta club

College/Technical Plans: Undecided on school; plans to go

Brileigh Cates

(Sophomore)

Hobbies: Hunting and dancing

Community Service (Volunteer): Mark Twain Museum and Amvets Post-29

High School Involvement: Pom squad, Sho-Me Band, Studio Jazz Band, Track and Field, and All-honors.

College/Technical Plans: I plan on attending ASU on a dance, academics, and band scholarship. I will major in education and geography, and I will minor in public speaking and music.

Career Plans: High School Math teacher and Missionary to Turkey.

Cooper Hornbeck

(Sophomore)

Parent name: Amber Hornbeck

Hobbies: I love playing my musical instruments, watching Grey’s Anatomy, and traveling to the Smoky Mountains

Community Service: I volunteer to play music and do various jobs at my church, I also volunteer at the local St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry

High School Involvement- Band, Concert Choir, and tech for Drama club

College/technical plans- I plan on attending Three Rivers, and then switch to a four year college

Career plans- to become a high school band director, high school language arts teacher, or a registered nurse.

Hannah Rae

Corcimiglia (Junior)

Parents’ Names: Lanny and Angie Corcimiglia

Hobbies: I play basketball and volleyball. I also hang out with my friends and family.

Community Service (Volunteer): I help with AMERICORP.

High School Involvement: I have been part of the basketball and volleyball team for 3 years. I have been in Mule Barn and Student Council.

College/Technical Plans: I am undecided on what college I want to attend.

Career Plans: I want to become a nurse practitioner.

Gavin Mense

(Junior)

Parents’ Names: Regina Johnston and Ben Mense

Hobbies: Playing tennis and being with friends.

Community Service (Volunteer): In robotics we teach younger kids about what our robot does and how they can join the club if they are interested. High School Involvement: Tennis and robotics

College/Technical Plans: To attend TRC through the A+ program and transfer to a bigger college for a master’s degree.

Career Plans: To work in the field of computer engineering or programming.

Carlee Ringstaff

Colton Jackson

Hobbies: Playing the guitar and doing things outdoors
