A Poplar Bluff, Mo., woman was shot Friday afternoon in the 1000 block of Garfield Street and police are looking for the alleged shooter.
Tajsh Lee, 25, of East St. Louis, Ill., has been identified as a potential suspect. Lee should be considered armed and dangerous, according to law enforcement.
Juanita Renee Williams, 20, was expected to be transferred to a St. Louis hospital Friday for surgery after being shot in the left shoulder and right hand, officers said Saturday. The wounds were considered non-life threatening.
Williams was taken by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center shortly after the incident occurred at 4:15 p.m.
Lee is believed to have had an altercation with another man, left the scene and returned with a handgun. At least three shots were fired, according to police, who recovered 9-mm shell casings at the scene.
