FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. — Patsie Ruth Prosise, born Oct. 20, 1937 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the second child of George C. and Margaret N. (Bunting) Flood. She passed away on Wednesday, Nov.17, 2021 at her residence.
She was employed as a medical transcriptionist and secretary to the administrator at Centreville Township Hospital in East St. Louis from 1961 through 1981. She also worked as a clerical supervisor for the Missouri Probation and Parole Board from 1981 through 1998.
Patsie has since served as a member of the RSVP for Butler County with first graders at Eugene Fields Elementary School, for Butler County Archives Program and as a volunteer aide at Rutland Library at Three Rivers Community Hospital from 2002 to 2012.
Patsie is survived by her sons, Daniel Camden and wife, Lisa, of Wappapello, Missouri, David Camden and wife, Julie of Dupo, Illinois, and stepson, Kenneth Prosise and wife Tammy of St. Peters, Missouri; four grandchildren, Andrew Camden of Waterloo, Illinois, Patrick Camden of Leitchfield, Kentucky, Courtney Camden of Dupo, Illinois, Matthew Camden of Dexter, Missouri, and step-granddaughter, Danielle Prosise of St. Peters; seven great-grandchildren, Maddison of Puxico, Missouri and Henry, Gwyneth, and Harrison of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; her sister, Dolores Prosise and brother, John Flood.
A visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
