Another weekend packed with events is ahead in MAIN EVENT.

Join a wildflower hike, offroading, live music and more.

Alley Spring park rangers will host a 1.3-mile hike starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The hike will be through an area that has benefited prescribed fire management and is expected to be filled with summer wildflowers.

“The park’s fire ecologist will discuss fire management practices, Ozark glade habitats, glade restoration, and glade inhabitants,” rangers said. “Staff will identify wildflowers and other interesting features along the way.”

Hikers should wear sturdy footwear, bring water, and consider using insect repellent and sunscreen. The event is subject to cancellation based on weather conditions.

Bricks Offroad Park is also hosting its only summer offroading event Thursday through Sunday. It includes offroading and camping.

If live music and good causes are more your style, see Band-A-Poolza on Saturday at The Camp. The event the Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri. Tickets are $10.

— Juneteenth 3-on-3 basketball, 9 a.m. registration opens, 11 a.m. games start June 14 WHERE Black River Coliseum COST Entry, $2, age 12 and under free. Team fees, $100, due be May 31 WHAT Games held for multiple divisions, local athletic achievements to be recognized. Cash prizes awarded for championship winners.

Rayni Day Miracles is a nonprofit organization serving children with life-threatening illnesses through a variety of programs at no cost to the children or their families.
