Butler County saw the largest single day increase in COVID-19 cases Monday morning, following a day with the second highest increase.

Butler County saw the largest single day increase in COVID-19 cases Monday morning, following a day with the second highest increase.

The Health Department announced six new cases Monday morning and five new cases Sunday afternoon, which brings the county total up to 65.

April 10 was the last time the county saw a single day increase of five.

The county increased testing last week after buying 1,000 laboratory tests, and will have access to the rapid response testing machine this week.

As of data shared Monday, with 65 positive cases, two patients were hospitalized, 41 recovered and 22 recommended to self isolate.

Twenty-seven patients were male and 38 female.

Between the new cases Sunday and Monday, Butler County saw it’s first cases involving minors.

10-19: 2

20-29: 7

30-39: 6

40-49: 5

50-59: 16

60-69: 18

70-79: 10

80+: 1

The state saw a 6.1% increase in confirmed cases over the last week and over 15,810 confirmed cases.
