Poplar Bluff Municipal Utilities has sent four linemen to help with Hurricane Ian in Orlando, Florida. Making the trek to the Sunshine State are (from left) Ronnie Barker, Benji Montgomery,, Kevin Hutson and Shane Bridgewater.

Ian made landfall Wednesday afternoon near Cayo Costa, a protected barrier island just west of heavily populated Fort Myers, the Associated Press reports. Though expected to weaken to a tropical storm as it marched inland at about 9 mph (14 kph), Ian’s hurricane force winds were likely to be felt well into central Florida.
