MSHP investigating drowning in Dunklin County

CAMPBELL — The Missouri State Highway Patrol and its Marine Division were called to assist the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department Sunday evening with a drowning.

Authorities were notified of a swimmer who went under and never resurfaced on the St. Francis River, according to Sgt. Clark Parrott.

A body was recovered near County Road 228, west/southwest of Campbell, Parrott said.
